the initiative construction of railway bergen came district of celle. garßen–beckedorf–bergen section opened on 23 april 1902 kleinbahn garßen-bergen. terminus had @ garßen because failed reach agreement town of celle on route of line through town. following approval of kleinbahn celle–wittingen solution emerged, however, in shape of junction railway. more 2 years later, on 13 december 1904, line celle-vorstadt on celle–wittingen railway went service, making through services celle possible. result, passenger services garßen withdrawn , goods services (which consisted of transfers state railway) followed suit on 1 september 1910. however, railway facilities @ garßen not dismantled until 1930s.
on 23 april 1910 line extended bergen soltau , beckedorf munster. purpose new firm founded kleinbahn celle-soltau und munster, in previous owners , districts of fallingbostel , soltau other local authorities participated.
a joint operating agreement struck kleinbahn celle-wittingen.
during germany s rearmament prior second world war, several sidings converted military depots (scheuen, bergen). traffic levels rose sharply result. 1940 railway no longer ran kleinbahn, treated public railway; resulted in new company eisenbahn celle-soltau, celle-munster being set up.
between 1989 , 1992 large sections of line upgraded y sleepers superstructure.
in 1969, after important intermediate stations had been equipped electric signal boxes push-button routing, line celle became remotely controlled using central block system. second introduced on german railways.
