serial killer jane toppan claimed last victim, death of minnie davis gibbs. during summer of 1901, nurse nicknamed jolly jane because of cheerful disposition had come work davis family in boston, , within space of 6 weeks, minnie s mother, father , 2 sisters had passed away. when minnie died, cause of death listed exhaustion , blamed on grief losing family, father-in-law suspicious , sought of dr. edward s. wood of harvard university s college of medicine. minnie s body exhumed autopsy, show high levels of arsenic, morphine , atropine, , toppan arrested on october 29.
