from 1942 end of world war ii, served training facility royal norwegian air force. known little norway , replaced toronto island airport main training base in canada. royal canadian air force (rcaf) used auxiliary airfield cfb borden during world war ii.


military use ended , airport transferred department of transport (dot). airport has been owned district municipality of muskoka since 1996.
