a live-action film adaptation of beck manga announced in 2009, filming beginning in july. produced , directed yukihiko tsutsumi, has directed manga-to-film adaptations in past (most notably 20th century boys trilogy). stars takeru satoh koyuki, hiro mizushima ryusuke, kenta kiritani chiba, aoi nakamura saku , osamu mukai taira. actors given proper training on instruments 30 original songs written film.


beck released nationwide in movie theaters on september 4, 2010. red hot chili peppers , oasis provide opening , ending theme songs, around world , don t in anger respectively.


grand funk inc. given japan academy prize outstanding achievement in music music work in film. movie released on dvd , blu-ray on february 2, 2011. dvd came in standard , luxury editions, luxury edition including bonus dvd.
