according report newspaper sponichi, x japan vocalist toshi visited drummer yoshiki in los angeles in november 2006 work on song tribute hide. in march 2007, toshi announced on website , yoshiki had resumed working together, stating new project commence soon. rumors of x japan reunion subsequently began, , in june yoshiki reported having expressed interest in tour , in talks heath , pata regarding participation. on october 22, 2007, x japan announced reunion , released saw iv theme song, i.v. . in 2010, went on first north american tour september 25 october 10. first world tour began 4 gigs in europe june 28 july 4, 2011 , resumed september october 5 shows in south america , 5 in asia.


in response 2011 tōhoku earthquake , tsunami occurred in japan on march 11, heath supported x japan vocalist toshi in 8 concerts throughout western japan. of shows acoustic in support of nationwide power conservation efforts , featured luna sea s shinya , orchestra ensemble kanazawa. proceeds donated japanese red cross aid victims.
