biographie
youth

born @ reims family of athletes, including grandfather played professional basketball, marion fiack was, @ first, dedicated middle distance , combined events.


first coached joël mertz @ thionville, won first cap france in 2009, @ european youth olympic festival @ tampere. in 2010, vaulted first time on 4 m in pole vault performing vault of 4.12 m @ forbach, regional record. qualified 2010 world junior championships in athletics @ moncton, did not proceed past qualifying rounds.


in 2011, left lorraine settle in clermont-ferrand. trained philippe encausseit, beat, on 10 december 2011, french junior record vault of 4.36m in competition won british woman, holly bradshaw, in front of vanessa boslak, held previous record.


under 23s

competing in senior level competition, marion fiack became indoors 2013 vice-champion of france vault of 4.35 meters, being beaten day marion lotout. outdoors, placed 5th in under 23s european championships @ tampere.


she started 2014 season personal best of 4.51 m @ aubière. on 18 january 2014 @ orleans, marion fiack vaulted 4.61 m, improving french under 23 record, , temporarily seizing best world performance of year tied british holly bradshaw. in february again vice-champion of france behind marion lotout (4.51 m against 4.56 m).


she continued, outdoors, victory @ pézenas in late may vaulting 4.55 m. @ french championships took second place, beaten vanessa boslak. @ european championships zurich, failed reach final, having settle 4.35 m.


2015 season  : france senior record

on january 10, 2015 @ aubière, improved 10 cm clear 4.71 m. beats france record formerly held vanessa boslak (4.70 m since 28 june 2006) , seized temporarily best world performance of year. indoor season successful winning champion of france title @ aubiere vaulted 4.60 m. managed same performance in march @ european indoor championships, enabling qualify final repeat performance (5th 4.50 m).


spending time in united states in order prepare summer season, injured hand. cannot return best , must end season, deprives of chance participate in world championships.


2016 : retour

a little lack of confidence, marion returned competition @ meeting @ orleans vault of 4.13 m. following week, managed 4.38 m @ rouen took fourth in competition.
