the diver explores underwater reef.


in abzû, player takes on role of diver in vast ocean—after waking floating on ocean s surface, diver begins exploring surrounding underwater environments filled plant , animal life, in addition uncovering ancient technology , submerged ruins. in few areas, diver able explore land-based environments above water. game progresses, diver unlocks new areas , pursues secrets behind forces harming local environment. diver s course through game follows linear path through interconnected areas filled marine life. player directs diver through environments using full analogue control, able interact environment solve switch or item-based puzzles, , sit on pedestals within each area observe surrounding sea life. diver can accelerate, , interact marine life using sonar chimes. diver can grab onto bodies of larger marine animals , ride on them. each area sports hidden collectables diver find.
