p1 , j1 connectors - electrically same connection. used connect fill cable, comsec device, koi-18, kyx-15, kyk-13, or an/cyz-10.
battery compartment - holds battery powers kyk-13.
mode switch - 3 position rotary switch used select operation modes.

z - used zeroize selected keys.
on - used fill , transfer keys.
off check - used conduct parity checks.


parity lamp - blinks when parity checked or fill transferred.
initiate push button - push button when loading or zeroizing kyk-13.
address select switch - 7 position rotary switch.

z - zeroizes 6 storage registers when mode switch set z .
1 through 6 - 6 storage registers storing keys in kyk-13.
