ground , foundation works commenced @ beginning of 2004, , construction started in april 2004. august 2004, work on twin concrete cores had started , structure rising @ steady rate. 1 of cores reached 410 feet (120 m) @ end of july 2005, @ point building became tallest skyscraper in united kingdom outside london.


the tower topped out on 26 april 2006. local wind conditions dictated height had reduced 6.6 feet (2.0 m) planned 561 feet (171 m). hotel opened on 9 october 2006, , first apartment residents moved in during 2007. skyscraper cost £150 million construct.
