page school girls

staple hill senior school girls established in 1933, , in 1947 became staple hill secondary modern school, having separate departments boys , girls. after chase comprehensive school had been built boys in 1966, girls stayed in buildings in north view, , renamed page school girls.


establishment

in september 1982, page school girls merged coeducational stockwell hill comprehensive school, , new school called downend comprehensive school.


later years

it renamed downend community school. in 2005, moved westerleigh road.


tamryn savage, instated head teacher school year beginning 2006 , onwards after acting head teacher ray lockey retired. left @ end of academic year 2010-2011 , replaced roberts. buildings of page school girls demolished in 2007-8.


the school converted academy status on 1 march 2013.
