on 11 october 2016, mtva opened submission period artists , composers submit entries until 20 november 2016. 2 new rules aspiring participants created; artists must belong record label or have contract professional music manager, while performers must have released album or have performed music on hungarian television or radio. in january 2017, announced jetlag , song keresem bajt replaced chase , song dust in wind . later, announced szabyest disqualified due song being available public before 1 september 2016, against eurovision rules. replaced rocktenors , song Ősz .
