2011/2012 season

baird produced best snooker towards end of 2012/2013 season beat luca brecel , martin gould reach main draw of welsh open second successive year. whitewashed gerard greene 4–0 in first round, before losing 2–4 robert milkins. in qualifying world championship baird defeated chen zhe 10–7, peter lines 10–9 , rory mcleod 10–9 find himself 1 match away playing in biggest tournament on snooker calendar. faced world number 20 joe perry, world number 83 baird played far better won 10–3 , in 12th frame made break of 142, highest of whole qualifying tournament. baird played stuart bingham in first round, losing 2–10 finish year ranked world number 81.


2013/2014 season

baird had successful year in european tour events reached @ least last 16 stage in 5 of 8 events. @ kay suzanne memorial cup won through quarter-finals lost 4–1 ben woollaston , went 1 better @ gdynia open, losing 4–1 against fergal o brien in semis. helped baird finish 11th on order of merit qualify finals first time. faced anthony hamilton in opening round , edged out 4–3. baird s win in full ranking event match season came @ welsh open beating robbie williams 4–2 before being defeated 4–3 reigning champion stephen maguire, having led 3–1. baird ended year ranked world number 67, outside top 64 keep playing rights coming season. however, impressive displays on european tour handed him first of 8 spots available non-qualified players new two-year place on tour.


2014/2015 season

baird s 5 appearances @ ranking events season represents has ever played in during single season. @ 2014 wuxi classic defeated fraser patrick 5–3, lost 5–2 michael holt in second round. baird gained revenge on holt beating him qualify international championship , saw off kyren wilson 6–2 , mark davis 6–5 reach last 16 of ranking event second time in career. baird built 4–3 , 61–0 points lead, mark williams made 71 break level , won last 2 frames progress. @ welsh open overcame fergal o brien 4–3 , dave harold 4–0, before losing 4–2 stephen maguire , knocked out in first round of indian open following 4–0 defeat against rod lawler. in second round of world championship qualifying, baird missed final pink when on 147 against adam duffy , season end in 10–7 loss.


2015/2016 season

a poor start season halted when baird overcame rory mcleod, zhang anda , chris melling without dropping frame @ bulgarian open, , beat jimmy robertson 4–3 , judd trump 4–1 make semi-finals of event second time. defeated 4–2 ryan day. lost 4–0 john higgins in second round of welsh open, further last 16 showing add semi-final in european tour events saw him placed 25th on order of merit qualify grand final, lost 4–2 mark king in first round. qualified china open , went 2–0 on stuart bingham before conceding 547 points without reply, record in ranking events, , went on lose 5–3. baird qualified televised stages of world championship second time, , first 3 years, courtesy of wins on thor chuan leong, tom ford, , liam highfield. in first round, baird earned first victory @ crucible defeating seeded player michael white 10–7, making 2 century breaks in process. won 4 successive frames level @ 11–11 in second round against mark selby, selby recovered eliminate baird 13–11. baird finished year 46th in world ranking, highest position date.


2016/2017 season

baird got last 16 of ranking event fourth time seeing off daniel ward 4–2, gary wilson 4–1 , liang wenbo 4–2 @ paul hunter classic. unable make first quarter-final mark selby defeated him 4–2. reached last 16 stage again beat michael white 6–2 , marco fu 6–4 @ international championship, lost 6–1 against shaun murphy. won match @ uk championship first time eliminating sean o sullivan 6–2 , lost reversal of scoreline mitchell mann. baird had 4–2 victory on john higgins in first round of welsh open, before losing 4–1 craig steadman.
