chen began professional acting career when signed 8-year contract tvb. first started out host on numerous variety shows on tvb8 s mandarin channel, before making acting debut in tvb series forensic heroes, cast murderess.


2007–09: breakthrough

in 2007, after starring in heart of greed, family link, , steps, chen won first acting award in best supporting actress category role in steps. additionally, nominated favorite female character , improved actress categories same role. received nomination in improved actress category roles in heart of greed , family link in 2007.


chen s breakthrough came in 2008, when notable work character of gam wing hing (a mute girl) in tvb series moonlight resonance, non-related sequel heart of greed. final episode of series received average of 47 rating points , peaked @ 50 points. chen had specially learn sign language in order portray character. role landed nominations best supporting actress , favorite female character categories second year in row.
