there 8 types of boats utilised pcg, namely command boat, coastal patrol craft (cpc), 3 types of pt boats, new pc class patrol craft, pk class interceptor craft special task squadron, , pj class inflatable boats localised patrols, particularly smaller rivers , canals.
command boat (pt class)
the 2 command boats in operation larger versions of regular patrol craft, , built asia-pacific geraldton in 1998.
new coastal patrol craft
in 2006, pcg signed contract damen shipyard build 10 specially designed boats, damen stanpatrol 3507 replace aging coastal patrol craft. first vessel ph51 mako shark commissioned on 3 february 2009.
patrol craft (1st generation, pt class)
the oldest generation of patrol craft in pcg service (as of december 2012) built in 1984. odd numbered craft based in gul base , numbered craft based in brani. first generation patrol craft scheduled replaced 4th generation patrol craft 2015 onwards. pt5 , pt11 decommissioned , sold via auction on 29 october 2014.
patrol craft (2nd generation, pt class)
the second generation of patrol craft built between 1987 , 1989, including 2 command boats. 4 boats operated immigration , checkpoints authority. odd-numbered craft based in gul base.
patrol craft (3rd generation, pt class)
the third generation of patrol craft introduced in 1998, 18 built in 1999 , 7 in 2000. stingray 18wj class manufactured strategic marine. @ top speed of 40 knots (74 km/h), 10 knots (19 km/h) faster older pt class boats in pcg when officially launched on 29 january 2000 odd-numbered craft based in gul base.
patrol interdiction boat (4th generation, pt class)
a new, 4th generation patrol interdiction boat (pib) sourced lung teh shipyard, taiwan scheduled enter service 2015 onwards progressively replace 1st generation pt patrol craft. first vessel commissioned on 21 july 2015. total of 11 boats acquired.
new generation patrol craft (pc class)
the new generation patrol craft, known fast response craft, delivered year 2002. there 32 in active service. even-numbered craft based in loyang base, while odd-numbered craft in lim chu kang.
interceptor craft (pk class)
there 2 generations of interceptor craft in service, first delivered in 1995 north shipyard. second generation of 6 boats different colour scheme , modified design introduced in 1999 , officially launched on 29 january 2000. second generation interceptor craft not considered success , relegated normal patrol duties , renamed pc class. single vessel, pk/pc 23 rebadged , operates marine command vessel (mcv) under singapore civil defence force s marine command.
interceptor craft (2nd generation pk class)
a new, 2nd generation pk interceptor ordered lung teh shipyard, taiwan in may 2014 , scheduled enter service 2015 onwards. 2 vessels (black , white marlin) commissioned on 21 july 2015.
rigid-hulled inflatable boats ( pj class)
the pj class of rigid-hulled inflatable boats suitable cruising upriver , large drains , introduced in 1997.
other
there several other types of fast craft boats playing supportive role. following list of 2nd generation pk class vessels. have been renumbered , put normal patrol operations.
