aimsun live uses live traffic data feeds , simulations forecast future traffic conditions large urban areas , regional networks.


real-time analysis

aimsun live analyses real-time inputs disparate sources of information, such field traffic controllers, detectors, incident reports , live data feeds key intersections.


calibrated model retrieval

using up-to-date field data, aimsun live identifies, retrieves , loads travel demand matrix of road network being managed. finds closest match between data received in real time among several demand patterns stored in database. demand pattern database created in prior step carrying out analysis of historical data.


real-time simulation

this step involves dynamic (mesoscopic or microscopic) simulation of 1 or more scenarios in real time. each scenario simulated on dedicated computer. simulations produce dynamic forecasts of traffic conditions @ detailed, local level next 30-60 minutes. each simulation considers concrete set of actions might applied in order improve network situation. 1 of scenarios corresponds ‘do nothing case.
