the delaware river heritage trail be, upon completion, 60-mile multi-use loop through cultural , natural resources along upper portion of delaware river estuary. funding national park service , william penn foundation, drgp , bi-state advisory committee of government , non-profit representatives, have outlined initial route linking 24 communities trenton palmyra, new jersey on new jersey side, , morrisville tacony neighborhood of philadelphia on pennsylvania side. in 2013, burlington county, new jersey completed first three-mile segment of trail bordentown fieldsboro. development of camden county’s segments of trail , 6-mile bicycle path in bensalem, pennsylvania underway; create continuous trail new route delaware river waterfront. .

the partnership host non-profit organization delaware river scenic byway project, gained national scenic byway status in 2012, first in state of new jersey. runs along route 29 along delaware river trenton, new jersey , travels through historic riverside towns of titusville, lambertville, stockton , raven rock, ending @ frenchtown, passing through delaware , raritan canal state park, delaware river mill society, howell living history farm , old barracks museum.
