the party received donations investment bank saxo bank (500,000 danish kroner) , businessman lars kolind (100,000 kroner). of 22 may 2007, party had 7 paid employees , number of volunteers. party announced not hire additional employees until had more funds.


liberal alliance youth

on 23 february 2008, youth wing party formed 21 people under name of young alliance (danish: ung alliance). when party changed name liberal alliance, youth branch followed suit changing name liberal alliance youth.


european parliament affiliations

at formation, 2 meps joined party. defection of meps gitte seeberg , anders samuelsen, conservatives , social liberal party left without representation in european parliament. 2 meps did, however, stay in parliamentary groups (epp-ed , alde respectively). both resigned european parliament after being elected danish parliament in november 2007. liberal alliance announced join alde group after future european elections. however, party failed achieve representation in european parliament in both 2009 , 2014 european parliament elections.
