penn state mont alto offers 3 residence halls students: mont alto hall, penn gate i, , penn gate ii.



mont alto hall offers traditional dorm life. 3 floors of building broken east , west side, 1 gender belonging particular wing. each room holds 2 people, although possible obtain single room given circumstances. rooms not carpeted, , lack central ac unit. however, include heater. each resident provided desk, phone jack, ethernet connection, dresser, , closet. microfridge , combination microwave , refrigerator, standard well. every wing of building includes bathroom entire hall shares, making 2 per floor. mont alto hall includes basement washers/dryers , study rooms. hall mere 4-5 minute walk virtually on campus, exception of penn gate dorms , other parts of campus east of pa 233 (softball fields, etc.).
penn gate ii offers four-person suite living. similar mont alto hall, building 3 stories tall. while halls not gender specific, each individual suite is. four-person suite includes 2 spacious bedrooms bathroom shared 4 people in suite. each room carpeted , includes central air conditioning unit. penn gate ii located east of pa 233, , long walk (5-10 minute) campus.
penn gate third residence hall offered @ mont alto. located directly adjacent penn gate ii, penn gate not in use during 2004-2005 , 2005-2006 school years due low enrollment. however, reopened 2006-2007 school year. penn gate offers similar four-person suite living accommodation provided @ penn gate ii.

classroom buildings

conklin hall built dormitory students of forestry school starting in 1909 , completed in 1911. building home student center, student affairs offices , archives.
the general studies building majority of classes @ penn state mont alto held. 3 story brick building includes many traditional classrooms lectures. first floor holds auditorium used special shows , speakers, large lecture classes. in addition auditorium, first floor holds learning center, place students can go study professional or student tutor. several computer labs held in building well.
the science , technology building used science courses @ penn state mont alto. in it, find several labs specific different courses such chemistry , nursing. many general education courses held in building well, particularly large class sizes. built in 1970s.
the bookstore has computer lab in basement. classes such computer science , management & information systems typically held here.

other notable buildings

wiestling hall primary building on campus, located in center of campus mall. built in 1803, oldest building in penn state system. built iron master s house has served campus dining hall, classroom , dormitory. second floor of wiestling hall home faculty , staff offices. third floor of wiestling has never been renovated, , remains true 1803 design. third floor accessible through 2 hidden entranceways on second floor of building. local legend holds wiestling haunted ghost named sarah , ghost of col. wiestling, first ironmaster lived there. in 2004, wiestling hall modernized , serves student building , houses campus student government association office.
history has john brown spent time @ emmanuel chapel before raid on harper s ferry in 1859. penn state mont alto bought chapel in 1992 $1 , reopened in 1999.
the mac (multipurpose activities center) gym @ penn state mont alto. building sports few classrooms, basketball gym, weight room, racquetball court, , multipurpose room used conferences, dances, , other occasions. 2 tennis courts located outside of mac well.
the library @ penn state mont alto includes variety of books , research databases serve faculty, staff, , students, members of local community. pennsylvania resident may borrow items penn state university library system.
the recent building added @ penn state mont alto bookstore.
the dining hall built in 1968.
september 10, 2014, penn state mont alto opened veterans center. center spearheaded penn state mont alto student veterans association (sva) received $10,000 vetcenter initiative grant sva , home depot foundation partnership refurbish spring house on campus (built in 1905). had served faculty lounge , mailroom. has computers internet access , space student veterans study , gather.
