in 2001, helios clinics group acquired hospitals in buch 1,200 beds. still, charité continues use campus teaching , research , has more 300 staff members located there. charité encompasses more 100 clinics , scientific institutes, organized in 17 different departments, referred charité centers (cc):

cc 3: dental, oral , maxillary medicine
cc 4: therapy , research
cc 5: diagnostic laboratory , preventative medicine

cc 8: surgery
cc 9: traumatology , reconstructive medicine
cc 10: charité comprehensive cancer center
cc 11: cardiovascular diseases
cc 12: internal medicine , dermatology
cc 13: internal medicine, gastroenterology , nephrology

overall, 13 of centers focus on patient care, while rest focuses on research , teaching.


the medical history museum berlin has history dating 1899. museum in current form opened in 1998 , famous pathological , anatomical collection.
