in 1999, ford launched fourth-generation ford taurus replace third generation. although doors , mechanical parts carried over, generation designed more conservative design in hopes of increasing appeal customers. new shape contained more upright trunk , rear roof panel, of increased headroom , trunk space substantially. generation contained redesigned interior sported more conservative look, while retaining many features offered in third generation.
