the mountains of east-zagros, kuh-i-jupar (4135 m), kuh-i-lalezar (4374 m) , kuh-i-hezar (4469 m) not have glaciers. @ zard kuh , dena glaciers still survive. however, before last glacial period had been glaciated depth in excess of 1900 meters, , during last glacial period depth in excess of 2160 meters. evidence exists of 20 km wide glacier fed along 17 km long valley dropping approximately 1500 meters along length on north side of kuh-i-jupar thickness of 350-550m. under precipitation conditions comparable current conditions, size of glacier expected form annual average temperature between 10.5 , 11.2 °c, since conditions expected have been dryer during period in glacier formed, temperature must have been lower.
