strengthen native biological community , cultural resource integrity of reserve 2015 result of successful control of alien species , other biological threats in terrestrial , aquatic habitats.


a1—control ungulate populations

by 2015, reduce abundance of feral (goats , pigs) , introduced (deer) ungulates native terrestrial habitat , cultural sites 80% of 2010 population sizes.


a1(c)|| exclude ungulates entering reserve. || in short-term, identify representative habitat negatively impacted ungulates within reserve; within 3 high-priority areas of both forest , shrubland habitat types, exclude ungulates fencing small enclosures; 2015, permanently exclude ungulates fencing entire reserve boundary/perimeter. ||

reduce population density of top alien invasive (unwelcome) plants , animals @ least 50% 2015.

within coral reef , anchialine pool habitat, 2015 reduce population density of priority unwelcome fish , aquatic plant species @ least 50%.



a4—actively restore native plant , wildlife assemblages

by 2015, implement native habitat restoration plan results in restoration of @ least 5 acres within both native shrubland , lava flow habitats.
