Disposals and re-branding Brewers Fayre
there used many standalone brewers fayre pubs, in 2006 whitbread agreed dispose of 239 standalone brewers fayre , beefeater sites. these had traditionally lower revenues , growth had stalled in them compared still-growing premier inn sites, seen obstacle company s sales growth. sites sold market rival mitchells & butlers, , on year after sold, pubs re-branded harvester, toby carvery, , selection of other brands. large number of sites became crown carveries (formerly pub & carvery), , sparked growth in brand, consisted of small number of pubs throughout uk (they have on 100 restaurants).
a small number of standalone brewers fayre sites retained there land premier inn built, such 3 bells near lymington , craigside inn in llandudno. in 2008 whitbread sold further 44 brewers fayre & beefeater sites planning permission premier inn not possible (such lauriston farm in edinburgh) in exchange of 21 express holiday inn hotels, converted premier inn.
