the initial second round of presidential election 2004 (on november 17, 2004) followed orange revolution, series of peaceful protests resulted in nullification of second round. supreme court of ukraine ordered repeat of re-run held on december 26, 2004, , asked law enforcement agencies investigate cases of election fraud.
