formation , years (2004-2008)

gwen stacy formed band in summer of 2004 founding members brent schindler , t.j. sego along previous members, chris suter, , josh rickard. after several member changes band best recognized members cole wallace, brent schindler, t.j. sego, patrick meadows, , mike bryant. in 2007 gwen stacy signed ferret records , released first full length, life know, on february 5, 2008. album received low reviews. alternative press gave 1.5/5 stars, saying make avenged sevenfold seem progressive luminaries , while allmusic.com game them 2.5/5 stars, saying re passable metal band, having done homework , modeled chops after hardcore s heaviest hitters.


line-up changes , dialogue (2009)

in blog posted gwen stacy in late december band announced geoff jenkins, guitarist of band once nothing become band s new vocalist. in time, gwen stacy did headlining tour our last night, vanna, , in fear , faith, trip europe poison , 36 crazy fists march april, tour eyes set kill, , headlining run support ice 9 kills , stray path in fall of 2009. guitarist, jordan tomb, previous band member of once nothing, accompanied gwen stacy 2009 tour.


gwen stacy went studio in mid may andreas magnusson, previous work includes haste day s album dreamer , oh, sleeper s record when god, among others. record released on october 20, 2009. jesusfreakhideout scooped next album called dialogue, correlating october 20th release through solid state records. band issued press release stating new album indeed called dialogue , released on october 20 through solid state records.


in september 2009, band recorded first video dialogue in abandoned neighborhood in bensenville, il song first words. on october 15, 2009, band recorded second video song dialogue . both videos directed jeremy e. jackson, did video fear in eyes . main protagonist in both videos ex-founding member chris suter.


gwen stacy kicked off fall of 2009 tour ice 9 kills (ferret music) , stray path (sumerian records). scheduled open haste day support amarna reign on short run in december.


departure of tj , break (2010)

original drummer , 1 of founding members of gwen stacy decided leave band in late may 2010 pursue school , other interests. in june, attained members brett sibley, replace tj on drums , matt strahl (both formerly of band venable), take position permanent 2nd guitarist. set out tour inhale exhale , or apocalypse new lineup. gwen stacy toured city serene , lower definition on no bummer summer tour in july. september 2 kicks off start of mini-tour indianapolis based band, amarna reign. of november 7, 2010, gwen stacy officially announced splitting via band s myspace. played last show @ rhino s in bloomington, in on november 20, 2010.


reunion , other projects (2014–present)

in april 2014 band announced original lineup reuniting show @ irving theater in indianapolis, indiana on june 14. band launched indiegogo account fund show. members of band have stated via social media 1 time event , have no intention of continuing band after show.


longtime guitarist patrick meadows joined local indiana band barricades guitarist in 2015.
