hamasaki launched own fashion brand, mtrlg (material girl), in 2001; clothes sold @ mtrlg boutiques , @ mise s*clusive stores.

in 2002, hamasaki created ayupan, cartoon version of herself appeared in line of merchandise (mainly figurines) , in 2003 cartoon. 2007 tour tour of secret, hamasaki collaborated sanrio create line of merchandise, ayumi hamasaki x hello kitty/ , features ayupan , hello kitty together. merchandise included cell phone straps , lumix cameras decorated picture of hello kitty behind hamasaki s logo; former product result of collaboration sanrio , japanese fashion brand ash & diamonds, latter collaboration sanrio , panasonic.


ayuready?

from october 2002 march 2004 host of own talk , variety tv show, ayuready?, on fuji television. talk show, aired on saturday nights 11:30 midnight, featured performing songs guests, among whom goto maki, puffy, , akina nakamori. promote program (and album rainbow), hamasaki opened restaurant, rainbow house, on shōnan beach on july 1, 2003, open through august 31, 2003. after less 2 years, last episode of ayuready? aired in march 2004.
