the building expansion east, underground parking spaces below.


the current building s location considered appropriate place build new school 1902, several building proposals being made. when these proposals deemed unacceptable, request made 3 architects erik josephson, ragnar Östberg, , axel anderberg draft new building proposals. while none of new proposals deemed acceptable, 1 axel anderberg considered viable further development. georg ringström tasked developing , drafting new proposals. 1 of these, 4 story design, accepted , awarded grant of 882 000 swedish krona built.


building preparations began in 1904, , while building meant completed in 1906, series of lockouts delayed completion of building. building in fact still not completed in 1907 when classes began take place, , not until 1 february 1908 inaugurated.


the building distinct in style other school buildings of time featured predominantly red brickwork (like found in building of södra latin). building s façade has alternating light red brick , white plaster design. main entrance portal inspired fellow architect ferdinand boberg. building features big corridor , stairwell spaces, 2 storey aula.


the building has been renovated several times. during latest renovation (1993-1994), old paintwork on ceiling of school s aula restored. simultaneously building further expanded towards east, , underground parking spaces built under school replacing old bomb shelters.
