the franck-haus richly adorned townsman’s house baroque period, built in 1745, , 1 of town’s important sights. building master wine merchant , salesman franz valentin franck (1702–1777). since 1987, house has been under town’s ownership. 1994 1998 renovated, façade’s smalt-blue colour, @ time house built expensive colour, reconstituted. today house used exhibitions.


permanent exhibits include “world’s smallest library”, collection of miniature books valentin kaufmann’s legacy, demonstration smithy, old smith’s workshop built in courtyard, , information room on painter , artistic craftsman hermann gradl’s life , works.
