summer bay surf life saving club

as many real life australian beaches summer bay has own surf , lifesaving centre (slsc). first seen on screen in 1989. on years serving purpose centre sea , land rescues has been place young people of bay relax , socialise. town meetings held in surf club. has been used polling station , private party/formal venue , has housed various food outlets, notably ill-fated bonza burger in 1998. several characters have been trained lifeguards on years , surf competitions take place occasionally. club has undergone renovations in 1992, 1996, 2004 , 2010, respectively.

salt (previously angelo s) restaurant located upstairs in renovated slsc. replaces noah s bar licensed premises in summer bay. business venture angelo rosetta after discharged police force , dream own own restaurant after growing parents running restaurant. indi walker worked there, fired angelo after sold alcohol ruby buckton without permission. darryl braxton buys business , helps turn successful pizza restaurant. angelo , darryl employ xavier austin , casey braxton deliver pizza. darryl buys angelo out after angelo left bay in 2011. heath briefly works there in 2012, , liam murphy. indi returned working there briefly in 2012, left. xavier left job in 2012, kyle started working there in late 2012. casey , heath left jobs in 2013, start working @ body & soul gym. liam fired brax stealing money @ restaurant. tamara kingsley worked there in 2013, left in 2014 return home family. matt works there pizza deliverer in 2014. josh barrett works there pizza deliverer in 2014, left in 2016 go university. martin ashford works there in late 2014. brax left job in 2015, while on run. then, maddy osborne started working there in mid 2015. in 2016, ash left job start own company , kyle left job after being sent jail . matt left job in 2016 , maddy leaves bay on same year. after ricky leaves bay, phoebe placed in charge , brody morgan becomes new chef. later buys restaurant , renames salt. brody s brother mason morgan works there part-time, jeannie woods , lena ascot. phoebe leaves go on tour around united states.

gelato small kiosk selling ice cream, juices , smoothies located in main area downstairs in new slsc, replaces noah s juice bar main hang out area local teenagers of summer bay. in area of surf club there small workout area tucked in corner replacing summer bay super bods has been in financial troubles , no longer visible separate area in surf club. in area of surf club there boutique selling magazines , surf, skateboard , fashion items , pool table in centre of area. gelato owned , run alf stewart. alf , john worked there since beginning. dallas phillips works there in 2011, year later fired john when spilt gelato. vj patterson later hired work there.

summer bay body & soul gym located downstairs in surf club. owned romeo smith , indigo walker. shortly after opened in march 2013, romeo departed bay, leaving indi run business alone. left business casey , heath after departed in november 2013. spencer harrington worked employee in 2013, , left return home in 2015. andy started work there in 2014, pay brother josh barrett s school bills. heath left in 2014 move city family. casey dies in late 2014 , brax bought gym after death. maddy osborne works there in mid 2014, fired brax stealing business money buying new clothes , shoes. billie ashford works there in 2015, left recover burns. returned job in 2016. after casey s death in 2014, brother darryl braxton bought gym in memory. in 2016, billie raped irene roberts long lost son, mick jennings during end of night shift. kyle braxton sells gym. andy leaves go on run, , left billie run business alone, until goes maternity leave.
