the euregium built hsg nordhorn. name comes euregio. hsg team plays in second handball bundesliga. euregium used other cultural events. lies right near vocational school , district sport hall. 3 halls’ proximity each other makes possible stage great tournaments. euregium has few years been venue grafschafter sportgala.


eissporthalle

the eissporthalle – ice sport hall – has wed ice hockey , figure skating 1 ice sport club. built in mid-1970s. in 1984, band bap gave concert there.


the ice sport club in nordhorn changed name several times. until 1999 there gec nordhorn, which, among other things, played in hockey bundesliga, in second highest class. thereafter club called ec euregio nordhorn 1999 e. v. , play in coming season (2007–2008) in verbandsliga nrw. in 2002, eissporthalle renovated ground up. open public skating.

yearly, on whitsun weekend, great table tennis tournament, euregioturnier held. @ outdoor swimming pool there international swimming tournament @ whitsun. vfl weiße elf nordhorn stages every year, on whitsun weekend, pfingstturnier ( whitsun tournament ), traditional c-youth soccer tournament. in 2007 held 25th yearly tournament. teams take part come on germany other european countries such netherlands, poland , hungary.


german record

the football team heseper sv, home field in nordhorn s south end, german record holder. between 1996 , october 1999, team managed play streak of 98 championship matches without being beaten, managing @ same time rise fifth second district class. tsv buchbach had held old record unbeaten streak of 75 matches.
