ma athiru l-baqir
in ma athiru l-baqir imam discussed number of topics, nature of soul , qualities of ulama attributes of god , divine nature (explaining impossible humans understand it). man asked him, should think of (to understand allah)? imam replied: yes, have imagine thing mind cannot contain , without limit. unlike whatever comes mind. nothing resembles him nor can thought reach him. said, talk creation of allah, not talk allah himself, increases owner of talk nothing except perplexity. defined rasul prophet hears , sees angel in bodily form or in dream. nabi prophet hears not see angel, , imam nabi. imam asked explain teachings imamate, explained in ma athiru l-baqir (a summary of translated english in canon sell s ithna ʻasharíyya or twelve shiʻah imams.
