History Euxton Balshaw Lane railway station

a new station named balshaw lane , euxton, between coppull , leyland , ⁄2 mile (0.80 km) south of original euxton station, opened lnwr on 2 september 1905.

balshaw lane & euxton station closed british rail on 6 october 1969 part of beeching review of uk railway network.


euxton had station @ royal ordnance factory site, rof chorley, on preston manchester line opened along factory in 1930s; station named rof halt , closed in 1965.


as station on lancashire , yorkshire railway company s line (preston manchester) built named euxton junction near pack saddle bridge. access station via footbridge next today s gastro pub, railway @ euxton . however, station closed in 1895.
