jeff swindoll of monsters , critics.com repeated many of same sentiments in review of film. hated characters within first 5 minutes of film , found himself wishing film had shown more of bear walking in woods rather characters talking 1 between attacks. matt gamble of ugo entertainment excited film s cover, disappointed insipid dialog amongst characters , continuously calling each other dude. characters asking bear doing in canadian wilderness, bears plentiful, amused him, though notes not intended reaction scene. final rating of film f. dvd verdict s david johnson questioned why bear , actors never seen on screen together. derided scenes in bear make swiping motion, , scene cut show character flying through air: don t know how bear mastered art of jujitsu in wild, comes in handy when 4 teenagers snuff cub , need healthy dose of comeuppance. wondered @ lack of fake blood or props being used during attacks rather ridiculous blood splatter computer graphics tossed on screen. multiple critics noted film introduced 2 potentially interesting subplots ended being pointless film never explored either, , agreed film had excellent picture quality.


tim anderson, reviewer website bloody-disgusting.com, disagreed on points. found film cheesy, watchable. praised decocteau s pacing of film , felt cast of 4 serviceable. praised use of real bear. other reviewers, disappointed bear not being in same scenes actors though notes @ least bear suit used in such scenes made. whole, notes ridiculous nature of maneater series. so, don t fault them following suit on production... , concludes remark grizzly rage pretty silly satisfying little fright flick , rated 7 out of ten.
